Sunway’s CISA Club Welcomes New Members

Sunway’s Chinese Independent School Alumni (CISA) Club welcomed 40 new members earlier this year with an orientation headed by Mook Chia Chun, Student Advisor for the club. Activities included an ice-breaking session allowing current and new members a chance to get to know each other better. Malory, an alumna of the ACCA programme at Sunway TES was on hand to share her working experience. She encouraged all to participate in CISA Club’s activities as the experience gained through extra-curricular activities will help when they go out to work in the corporate world.

Senior members of the CISA Club from various programmes at Sunway next shared their campus experience with the newbies. These senior members will be on hand to help assist new members in adapting to their new environment. New members also had the opportunity to share their thoughts on the orientation and contribute ideas for upcoming CISA Club activities.

The Sunway CISA Club was formed to provide a platform for the interaction and communication of students from Chinese independent schools. The club’s main aim is to provide peer support to those new to Sunway and also to those who are far from home. The club currently has over 200 members. Past events and activities included a visit to Sunway Petting Zoo with children from an orphanage, trip to Taman Botani with children from Yayasan Sunbeams Home and Mid-Autumn Festival celebration.
