Our heartiest congratulations to Emeritus Professor Wang Gungwu, CBE for being the FIRST to be awarded the Doctor of Letters Honoris Cause by the premier Sunway University, in recognition of his distinction as one of the pre-eminent historians of Southeast Asia, for his outstanding services as a distinguished scholar and university administrator, and for his contribution to the development of higher education in Malaysia as an advisor and trustee of the Jeffrey Cheah Foundation.
