The top three scorers, Tan Li Jean who scored an average of 89.5%, Liew Bi Hui, 87.10% and Chong Shwit Hun, 86.55% received the Tan Sri Dato Seri (Dr) Jeffrey Cheah Continuing Scholarship to pursue their undergraduate studies in Sunway University along with 35 other students.Tan Li Jean was previously commended for her honesty for returning a lost phone to its rightful owner. 8 students also received the Certificate of Appreciation for organising extracurricular activities throughout their study course in Sunway’s FIA.

Elizabeth Lee said, “Sunway’s FIA is the only pre-university programme in Malaysia with non-traditional enrichment subjects that deepen ones understanding of today’s ever-evolving world. Specialist subjects taken at this level also align students for studies in the ensuing degree programmes offered by Sunway University. The FIA is therefore a pathway to other undergraduate programmes around the world as Sunway University undergraduate courses are validated by Lancaster University, a Top 10 UK University.”

Mrs Ruma addressed her students, “You have definitely become better people through the FIA programme and coursework. Do not forget that you have a host of friends who are also your lecturers that will guide and mentor you even as your pursue your undergraduate studies in Sunway University. Believe nothing is impossible and that you will not buckle under the pressure as you are made of something solid.”
Khoo Boo Chuan, Chairperson for FIA January 2011 intake said, “We as FIA-ians have showed to Sunway College, the society and to the world that we shall always be tough as a nut, proud like a lion, mighty as a sky-scrapper, smart like an owl and as humble as a bee. As your chairperson and your class representatives, it was my greatest honour to work, play and have fun with all of you throughout year 2011.”

The FIA extends students and pushes them beyond current learning levels towards success in university and life while arming them with valuable skills that will strengthen their abilities and propel them in the direction of academic excellence. Sunway College also extends other pre-university courses such as The Australian Matriculation Programme (AUSMAT), Cambridge Advanced Level Programme (GCE-A Level), Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) and Canadian International Matriculation Programme (CIMP).
