Sunway’s A-Level: The Right Choice

“You have made the right choice. Make the best out of the one and half years and complete it with no regrets,” said A-Level Award Winner Dee Ying Ling to future Sunway College A-Level students.

She added, “Sunway’s A-Level is the best key to prestigious universities across many countries.”

The 19 year old also commented that the programme had help her grow into a more independent and mature person. It also enhanced her thinking and analytical skills.

Ying Ling who is keen to pursue her undergraduate studies in pharmacy said the excellent facilities on campus such as the canopy walk to Sunway Pyramid, and on-campus accommodation were major factors on her decision in choosing Sunway College to complete her A-Level.

She started her A-Level with Sunway College on July 2014 and completed the programme with flying colours on November 2015. She scored 4 A*s in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, and received the Top in Malaysia Award for Chemistry. The former student of SMJK Phor Tay, Penang was also a recipient of the Kementerian Pelajaran Malaysia (KPM) Bursary.

“Apart from being helpful and sincere, the lecturers in my programme are experienced and responsible who made the classes meaningful and worthwhile. Each of them are great in their own ways,” she said sharing some of her best experiences during her 1.5 years of study in the college. During her time in the programme, Ying Ling was actively involved in the Sunway Student Volunteer and a member of ALSTAR（A Level Student Ambassadors）.

Ying Ling is looking to further her undergraduate studies abroad either in Australia or the UK with the hope to experience unique learning cultures.
